Project Statement

My thesis project is an ongoing study of my relationships and how they define me. Given the success rates and increasing popularity of online dating sites, I began to question if maybe the internet knows who I should date better than I in fact do? How do I make sense of the duality of my virtual and physical identities in both seemingly opposing realms? By participating in online dating sites and through meticulous documentation, I seek to recognize the two as both integral parts of my being. The sites provide a platform from which my online investigation will develop and expand, and the insight afforded by my digital and physical interactions serve as a basis for understanding my coexistence.
